Depart Port Elizabeth and arrive at the Paul Sauer Bridge (130 meters above the Storms River Gorge) to view the scenery (opportunity for a snack - own account)
Depart the Paul Sauer Bridge and head towards the Tsitsikamma Forrest.  Arrive and view the Big Tree
Continue via the Bloukrans Bridge (where the world’s highest Bungi Jump is situated) & Nature’s Valley
Arrive in Plettenberg Bay for a lunch stop (optional and for own account) 
Depart Plettenberg Bay for Knysna and arrive in the late afternoon.  The rest of your afternoon is at leisure.  Overnight in Knysna.

  • KNYSNA - OUTDSHOORN

TUESDAY

 

NOTE:

  • It is advisable to have good walking shoes for the Featherbed Nature reserve walk

After breakfast, transfer via ferry across the Knysna Lagoon to the Featherbed Nature Reserve.  Arrive at the reserve and enjoy a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head and a walk back to the restaurant for lunch under the Milkwood trees. 
Cruise back to Knysna and board the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, a steam train trip along the coastline.
Continue by road over the scenic Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn the Ostrich capital of the world, arriving in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, we travel to the Cango Caves
Arrive at the Cango caves for your tour
Tour of an ostrich farm.
Depart Oudtshoorn and continue to Hermanus, skirting the Little Karoo via Ladismith and Swellendam

  • Arrive in Hermanus, a scenic seaside town, in the late afternoon for your overnight stay.  During the months of August to October, Hermanus is one of the world’s finest sites for shore-based whale watching.

  • HERMANUS - CAPE TOWN

After breakfast, depart Hermanus and travel along the picturesque and mountainous coastal road via Kleinmond, Betty’s Bay; Gordon’s Bay then inland via Somerset West and into the wine region of the Western Cape.
There is a stop for a Wine tasting at a wine estate near Stellenbosch.
After the wine tasting, there is a lunch stop (optional and for own account)

  • Continue to Cape Town, where the tour ends in the late afternoon.
