DURBAN –ZULULAND

We depart Durban for the rural calm of Zululand where we visit a cultural village.
Arrive Dumazulu/Vula Zulu /Shakaland for a cultural show and lunch
After lunch there may be time to visit the curio shop– time permitting
Depart and continue to Hluhluwe.
Arrive at Hilltop Rest Camp (or Ithala*) in Hluhluwe Game Reserve for overnight stay
Enjoy a game drive before returning to the lodge/hotel for overnight

Passengers will enjoy a night game drive or an early morning game drive – depending on Reserve’s management
*PLEASE NOTE:
Overnight may be at Ithala Nature Reserve for some departures subject to availability

DAY 2

ZULULAND – SWAZILAND

WEDNESDAY

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • Passports are necessary at the border post when entering Swaziland
  • Certain Nationalities require visas and have to be obtained before travel - pax to check with their travel agent

After an early departure from Zululand, we enter Swaziland and travel through beautiful countryside
Stop at Riverside for a refreshment stop (optional and for own account)
Depart Riverside for the candle factory.
Arrive at candle factory.  Wander around the factory and watch the local craftspeople at work
Depart candle factory for the hotel, stopping en route to explore a local craft market ± 5 minutes from hotel
Arrive in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley and check into one of the leading hotels, where the rest of the afternoon is at leisure
Overnight in Swaziland

SWAZILAND – MPUMALANGA

After breakfast travel to the Ngwenya glass factory.  Arrive and explore the factory from the viewing deck.  Watch the local craftsmen at work.  There is a shop to buy the numerous glass products made at the factory
Depart glass factory and travel via Pigg’s Peak to the border
Clear customs and continue to Malelane, just outside the Kruger Park
Arrive at Malelane, just outside the Kruger National Park for check-in.  The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy lunch (optional & for own account) There is an opportunity to join an optional (for own account) afternoon or night game drive.  Overnight

MPUMALANGA - KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - MPUMALANGA

Pax are collected at  +-05h15 in summer and +-06h15 in winter for their open vehicle game drive

An early morning departure from our hotel, we enter the Kruger National Park for our open vehicle game drive.
In this world famous game park we should encounter both big and small game and begin to understand the challenge of managing this unique reserve. You will have the opportunity of seeing the “Big Five” whilst in the Kruger National Park.
There is a stop to enjoy a packed breakfast
Continue on the open vehicle game drive
Return to Malelane where the rest of the afternoon is at leisure.  Lunch optional and for own account
Late afternoon open vehicle game drive is available (optional and for own account). Overnight

Packed breakfast included.

MPUMALANGA

SATURDAY

After breakfast depart Malelane for game drive in touring coach en route to the tar road
Collect the Private Game Reserve option pax and continue on itinerary.  Exit the park and depart for the Panorama Route
Stop at Graskop for lunch (for own account).  There are numerous places to enjoy lunch, as well as wandering around all the different craft shops
Depart Graskop and continue on the Panorama route, en route passing through huge Eucalyptus & pine plantations.  Visit the Three Rondawels, scenic Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window.  Drive to Nelspruit for overnight

PRIVATE GAME RESERVE OPTION
MPUMALANGA – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK – SABI SABI/LION SANDS

FRIDAY

 

INFORMATION:
These passengers must have their bags ready for their transfer after the breakfast stop - only one overnight bag per person
Clients can leave their main suitcase with the guide

Depart for Kruger National Park
Arrive at the gates and proceed into the park to enjoy a game drive
(In the coach) through the park
Breakfast stop at a picnic spot
Coach transfers pax to the tar road where rangers meet them and transfer them to their Lodge
Arrive at the lodge.  Check in and proceed to lunch.  The rest of the afternoon is at leisure until the late afternoon game drive
Pax enjoy a late afternoon game drive before dinner.
 In this world famous reserve we should encounter the full spectrum of wildlife from the 'Big 5' to insects and sunbirds
After dinner, the rest of the evening is at leisure

Continue your journey via the Panorama route towards Nelspruit   
Arrive in the Nelspruit area and check in for overnight
