We depart Cape Town early and head east through Du Toits Kloof Pass to Worcester

Stop at the viewpoint on the pass

Continue on the journey through Worcester

Arrive in Worcester and take the turn off to Robertson.  Travel through farmlands and continue to Montagu

Arrive in Montagu for a comfort stop

Depart Montagu for Ladismith via Barrydale

Community visit to farm school in Barrydale area.

Continue to Ladismith for lunch (optional & for own account).

Depart Ladismith and travel towards Oudtshoorn

Arrive in Oudtshoorn - Capital of the Little Karoo and Ostrich capital of South Africa.

After breakfast, proceed to the Swartberg Pass, via a stop at the Cango Caves.

Arrive at Cango Caves for a tour.

Standard Tour of the Cango Caves.

Depart for the Swartberg Pass. Explore sandstone formations dating back more than 300 million years. Enjoy the full splendour of various fynbos species.

Depart the Swartberg Mountains and proceed to an Ostrich Farm for lunch.

Lunch at an Ostrich Farm.

Remainer of afternoon at leisure to relax at the guest house.

Overnight at your guesthouse in Oudtshoorn.

DAY 3

OUDTSHOORN - KNYSNA

Today we travel to the Garden Route via the Outeniqua pass.

Time/weather permitting stop at lookout point on top of Pass

Board the ferry taking you to the Featherbed Nature Reserve.  Arrive at the reserve.  Enjoy a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head and, a brisk walk back through the Milkwood trees. (It’s advisable to have good walking shoes for this)

Arrive back at the restaurant for lunch (included)

After lunch cruise back to Knysna. There is time to see Knysna at leisure – perhaps take a walk around the town

Depart the town centre and head towards your guesthouse for your overnight stay.

KNYSNA

This morning you take a drive to Nature’s Valley.

We stop at the Blaauwkrantz Bridge viewpoint.  Watch the Bungi jumping, when available.

Depart for the Tsitsikamma Forests

Arrive at Tsitsikamma Forest and walk through Forest to the Big Tree, also view the fallen tree.

Depart for Plettenberg Bay, a popular coastal resort for both local and international guests. Weather permitting, guests can relax with a walk on the beach or even swim in the sea

There is time for a lunch stop (optional and for own account)

Depart for Knysna. 

Visit the Eastern heads for a refreshment stop (own account) and enjoy the view from this side of the Heads

Return to Knysna for your overnight stay.

KNYSNA - HERMANUS

Today you begin the first leg of the return journey.

En route, stop at Mossel Bay.  Visit the Diaz museum, Post Tree and enjoy refreshments (all optional and for own account) at Gannet.

Depart Mossel Bay for Swellendam.

Arrive in Swellendam for lunch (included)

After lunch, proceed to Hermanus - popular as a week-end away and retirement town, it has grown into a popular seaside resort for local and international visitors and is even more popular during the whale season – July to October

Arrive in Hermanus where you will overnight.

DAY 6

HERMANUS - CAPE TOWN

MONDAY

After breakfast depart Hermanus on the coastal road, and head towards Cape Town. 

Stop for lunch (for own account) & a wine tasting (included) in the Stellenbosch area.

Afterwards continue your journey to Cape Town where tour ends on arrival in the late afternoon.
